1. Water Policy : Front page

Relevance: Know the issues involved in water pricing, role of private sector, a good read not much to write from the article.

Clue: Do you know about previous Water policy, Water act 1974, water disputes, Ashok Chawla Committee on natural resources. Refer India Year Book(Ch27:  water resources) and net.

2. Kudankulam :pg10

Relevance: The great Indian Environment v/s Development debate, Nuclear safety

Clue: Mark the sites of nuclear reactors in India, search which among them fall in seismic zone, steps taken by NPCIL after fukushima concerning nuclear safety, what are VVER reactors, know about different form of reactors BWR, PHWR etc. Source could be any coaching notes on nuclear reactors and net.

3. JLF : Shehan Karunatilaka : DSC prize winner pg 11

4. Nigeria blast : pg 14

Relevance: Know the place where it happened.

Clue: Know about Indo- Nigeria relations, Abuja Declaration , Indian companies in Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan. Just 2-3 facts should suffice.

5. Indian business : pg15

Relevance : a good read though nothing much to write.

6. Indo- Pak :pg15

Clue: Know about Indo pak trade relations , MFN status.

7. Other 2 markers : Julia Gillard (pg14), N C Jha (pg 15)

I found only these items to be useful in Sunday’s paper. If you could spot some thing more which is relevant to CSE please feel free to post in comments section.

    really nice initiative, few more
    1.Rajapaksa launched a trilingual initiative (sinhalese,English,tamil) when kalam came.
    2.yemeni president ali abdul saleh gets immunity from prosecution after stepping down
    3.H5N1 (bird flu) virus very lethal to mammals(specially human) , so research stopped for the moment.
